Bunratty Castle & Folk Park
One of the great appeals of the Ennis region is that it is richly endowed with a range of visitor attractions that provide the visitor with a wide choice of opportunities for enjoyment, whatever the weather.
At Ireland’s premier visitor attraction you are invited to explore two wonderful experiences – the acclaimed 15th century Bunratty Castle and 19th century Bunratty Folk Park.
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park: The Castle, built in 1425 it was restored in 1954 to its former medieval splendor and now contains mainly 15th and 16th century furnishings, tapestries, and works of art which capture the mood of those times. Within the grounds is Bunratty Folk Park, where Irish village life at the turn of the century is beautifully recreated. Both are just a 15 minute drive away from the Temple Gate Hotel.
